Little Bricks of Hope

Little Bricks of Hope (LBH) is a program hosted on-site at area Hospitals, camps and schools that serve children suffering from illness or disabilities or other life challenges.

Once a month, for a few fun hours, Little Bricks of
Hope (LBH) provides children the opportunity to escape to a new world. With the aid of LBH
volunteers and staff, patients and siblings choose their LEGO sets and build during the session. For children who are unable to come to the event in person, LEGO sets are provided to parents or staff to take to them. When playtime is over, the children
take their new LEGO sets, provided by LBH, home to keep.

A typical event requires at least two volunteers who will purchase and deliver the LEGO sets, as well as assist the children with building as needed.

Since it's inception, Little Bricks of Hope is one of the most attended outside sponsored programs at the Children's Healthcare Of Atlanta's Egleston Hospital. In the spring of 2014 LBH was expanded to CHOA's Scottish Rite facility in addition to a schol for children with special needs. HLP is also affiliated with a number of summer camps for children facing a range of life challenges.

The summer camp programs can require an even larger volunteer effort, sometimes serving close to 150 Children in a one day. If you are interested in seeing how you can help HLP as a volunteer, please contact our program director at: John@hopelaughplay.org.

Due to the overwhelming response and success of LBH,
in the first two years we have hosted over 36 events that
have served over 2000 children in having fun while
facilitating development of fine motor skills, creativity,
and ability to following directions.
